France narrowly beat Belgium 1-0 to book their place in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024. At the Düsseldorf Arena in Düsseldorf, it is the Euro 2024 Round of 16 between France and the Red Devils of Europe football.

France continued to find opportunities to finish but ended up the same way. With both forwards Kylian Mbappe and Marcus Thuram both missing the frame.
Then in the 24th minute, Belgium got a free kick from Kevin De Bruyne. Who pressed the ball past the players and into the goal frame, forcing Mike Maignan to save it with his feet.
Three minutes later, the Red Devils of Europe came again. This time Yannick Carrasco shot in the penalty area blocked by Theo Hernandez. And in the 34th minute, the French came to the right. Jules Kounde crossed for Marcus Thuram to head just wide.
In the second half.
Les Bleus immediately attacked. In the 49th minute, Aurelien Chuameni’s shot deflected off Wout Faes, forcing Ken Castile to make a save.
Then in the 51st minute, Jules Kounde crossed for Marcus Thuram to head over the bar. And three minutes later, Kylian Mbappe got a great shot and cut in with his right foot, but it flew behind.
Belgium’s first clear chance of the second half came in the 71st minute. When Romelu Lukaku fired a powerful shot that forced Mike Maignan to make a save. And in the 74th minute when French defender William Saliba cut inside and fired a left-footed shot that went just wide of the near post.
In the 83rd minute of the game, the Red Devils of Europe came back to attack again. This time, they had a chance from Kevin De Bruyne who shot hard. But still could not get past Mike Maignan.
But in the 85th minute, the French broke free from several passes before N’Golo Kante stabbed into the penalty area. Randal Kolo Mouhani turned and shot, deflecting off Jan Vertonghen and into the net 1-0.
