“It’s difficult to analyse the game after an hour and to concede a goal like that at the end of the game. We will analyse everything in this Euro and we will know in a few weeks.
“(Kein) Casteels was fantastic (at the Euros), he helped us against Ukraine. And that was just one example, his defending gave us a chance to play tonight. Casteels is fantastic and the goal conceded today (Monday) was not his fault.
“It’s difficult to go into details. We saw that France had problems defending their backs. We wanted to play with three forwards to find space behind them. That was the main idea. In defence we wanted to spread their wings and it worked very well.”
When asked about the possibility of Belgium captain Kevin De Bruyne retiring from international duty. The Italian-German coach said it was up to the player to decide.
“He knows how important he is, he knows what I think. It’s difficult to ask Kevin De Bruyne that question now.”Tedesco said.
